Vivian Llanes
Testing Coordinator
Vivien Llanes is CASJ’s new Testing Coordinator and is helping to develop a field-based HIV and HCV rapid testing program for people who use drugs. She also provides direct service syringe exchange, links participants to treatment if needed, and provides overdose prevention training and Narcan throughout Suffolk and Nassau counties.
Vivien is an emerging professional with extensive study and training in the sector of public health. She graduated from Stony Brook University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Health Science, concentrating in Public Health. In college, she worked at Stony Brook’s Center for Prevention and Outreach providing bystander intervention trainings and Narcan trainings to students and staff. She also worked as a Prevention Specialist with Project Safety Net NY, providing HIV/HCV/STI testing, substance use disorder interventions, outreach, and recovery support. Vivien is passionate about advocating for people who use drugs, and she is dedicated to serving the Long Island community.
