Tyrone Toussaint, MPH
Testing Coordinator
Tyrone Toussaint is CASJ’s HIV/HCV Testing Coordinator and has helped develop our field-based HIV and HCV rapid testing program for people who use drugs, including implementing an innovative point of care diagnostic HCV testing initiative. He also ensures that participants have appropriate linkages to care and treatment. He is committed to social justice and harm reduction and advocates for public health and enhancing safe outcomes for all. Tyrone believes in serving the community to expand knowledge and evidence-based practices for outreach and harm reduction.
Tyrone graduated from Stony Brook University with a B.S. in Biology in 2007 and from Liberty University with a Master’s in Public Health in Global Health in 2024. Tyrone has worked for over 10 years with people with developmental disabilities and people from underserved and disadvantaged communities across Long Island. Tyrone is passionate about serving the Long Island community, promoting positive change for those underserved and being a voice for those who can’t be heard.
