Joseph Pierre-Louis
Outreach Specialist
Joseph Pierre-Louis is an Outreach Specialist at CASJ. He is responsible for providing harm reduction and syringe exchange services throughout Nassau and Suffolk counties, including provision of overdose prevention training and linking participants to treatment if requested. Joseph works closely with program participants, community partners, and other stakeholders to expand access to naloxone, MOUD, drug checking, wound care, and other harm reduction services. He sees this as a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact in the community.
Joseph is passionate and dedicated to serving Long Island. He brings years of outreach experience and community work to the team. He graduated from Stony Brook University with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology, where he gained outreach experience while interning with local churches. Joseph also worked as a Residential Support Specialist with organizations serving Long Island’s homeless population.
