GINA CHINESE
Director of Programs
Gina Chinese is CASJ’s Director of Programs and the primary point of contact for requests for services. Gina is responsible for supervision and coordination of staff, volunteers and peers, oversees direct services to participants, provides Opioid Overdose Prevention Trainings and Train the Trainer sessions, and ensures adherence to programmatic regulations.
Gina started working with CASJ in 2017 as a Volunteer Overdose Prevention Trainer and has worked as Linkage Coordinator (2018), overseeing CASJ’s drug user health hub which provides low threshold buprenorphine (Suboxone) and hepatitis C treatment, and Director of Mobilization (2021), leading CASJ’s community outreach and crisis mobilization initiatives.
Gina has a Master’s degree in Social Work from Stony Brook University with a focus in Community, Policy, and Political Social Action.
