Eric Martinez

Director of Syringe Exchange

As the Director of Syringe Exchange, Eric is responsible for oversight and coordination of CASJ’s Syringe Exchange Program, including supervising staff and peers in Nassau and Suffolk counties. He also ensures the development of employee skills and knowledge necessary to achieve CASJ’s mission and objectives.

Eric has more than 17 years’ experience in the social services field, including a decade working with the Department of Juvenile Justice in NYC. During that time, he was focused on supporting at-risk youth and contributing to their rehabilitation and reintegration into society. Additionally, he spent 8 years working with developmentally disabled individuals and providing street outreach to unhoused individuals. His passion for social services and commitment to aiding vulnerable populations drives his work. He is dedicated to making a positive impact on the community of people who use drugs.
