Divine Love

Harm Reduction Coordinator – Nassau County

Divine Love is CASJ’s Nassau County Harm Reduction Coordinator. He provides direct service syringe exchange and overdose prevention for people who use drugs, and supervises CASJ’s Nassau County peer syringe exchange program. Divine started with CASJ as Outreach Specialist, providing harm reduction and overdose prevention services to people who are houseless and/or using drugs in public spaces, as well as overdose prevention training for other organizations and community groups.

Divine achieved his MA in mental health at Grand Canyon University (2020) and BA in criminal justice at Marygrove College (2011). He worked as a correctional officer in Michigan before transitioning to a career in mental health. Divine has more than 7 years’ experience in the field of mental health, including employment as a Youth Support Specialist in a juvenile detention facility. Divine is passionate about giving back to the community by supporting people to live to their full potential.
