Cole Margarites
Mobilization Coordinator
Cole is CASJ’s Mobilization Coordinator. Cole leads CASJ’s outreach efforts to businesses and other organizations to provide overdose prevention training, Narcan, and other harm reduction materials to community members throughout Long Island. He also provides direct service syringe exchange and harm reduction resources to syringe exchange participants in both Nassau and Suffolk counties.
Cole graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy, Politics, and Law and subsequently attained a Master of Public Health degree from Binghamton University. In his time in Binghamton, he interned at the Broome County Health Department’s Overdose Prevention Program in which he assisted in the expansion of “Naloxboxes” throughout the county, worked community tabling events and Narcan trainings, and analyzed overdose and Narcan reporting data.
